You Don't Have To Do This Alone

The process of making art is just that: a process.

For me, creating is a practice of listening—of slowing down enough to notice what is happening beneath the surface. It has become a place where I meet grief, joy, fear, hope, resistance, and wonder with curiosity instead of judgment.

While creativity can be profoundly healing, it is not a substitute for the care we sometimes need from one another. There are seasons in life when creating is enough to help us reconnect with ourselves, and there are seasons when healing asks for something more: a trusted relationship, a safe place to tell our story, or the guidance of a skilled therapist.

As both an artist and a psychotherapist, I have witnessed how deeply creativity and mental health are connected. When we create, we often access parts of ourselves that words cannot reach. Art has the ability to soften defenses, increase self-awareness, and reconnect us with our bodies and emotions. But healing was never meant to happen in isolation. We grow through relationship—with ourselves, with our communities, and with those willing to walk alongside us.

If you are navigating grief, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply longing to know yourself more deeply, I hope you’ll consider reaching out for support. Therapy is not about fixing what is broken; it is about creating space to become more fully yourself.

For those seeking counseling, I’m proud to be the founder of Greenlake Wellness Group, a collective of compassionate therapists serving individuals, couples, teens, and families throughout Washington, both in person and through telehealth. Our clinicians believe healing begins in relationship and are committed to helping people navigate life’s most difficult seasons with warmth, curiosity, and evidence-based care.

Whether your next step is picking up a paintbrush, reaching out to a therapist, or simply allowing yourself to pause and breathe, I hope you know you don’t have to walk the journey alone.

To connect with a therapist on or team, reach out any time.
